Data from the wetland vegetation survey of the Upper Taiari Scroll Plain. This vegetation survey was carried out for the Otago Regional Council to gain a fuller picture of the types and distribution of vegetation communities currently present to inform the future management of these nationally significant wetlands. 151 wetland vegetation plots were established across the Taiari Scroll Plains to provide a baseline for monitoring condition and trend changes to fulfil requirements of the NPS-FM and associated regulations. Methods follow Clarkson et al 2004.
Procedure to access the raw data: 1. Ask for permission to access the plot data by emailing Gretchen Brownstein (brownsteing@landcareresearch.co.nz) with your request outlining how the data will be used 2. Go to https://datastore.landcareresearch.co.nz/ and register as a user. 3. Once registered, ask to be made a member of the Upper Taiari Scroll Plain Wetland collection. 4. MWLR will send a link to the collection, which will allow access to all data.
