Penicillium literature review Appendix 1

A spreadsheet listing all 487 accepted Penicillium species, their occurrence in New Zealand (based on NZFungi2 data), notes of their lifestyle, and diagnostic DNA sequences. This data has been compiled from Houbracken et al. (2020) plus the other sources listed at the end of this report. The table includes four new species published since Houbracken et al. (2020). Also included in this table are links to DNA sequences that validate 'present in New Zealand' statements. Notes are included for species reported from New Zealand for which no DNA sequences are available from New Zealand specimens, but for which New Zealand cultures identified as these species are in the ICMP culture collection and available for sequencing.
