Abstract:
Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum phylotype I is reported for the first time from the Lao PDR. Typical symptoms of wilt and vascular exudate were observed in potatoes and tomatoes in Paksong district, Champasak province. Pathogenicity was proven and identification was based on symptoms, commercial diagnostic test kits and sequence of the egl gene.
