Behavioural data collected from a pen trial and field trial of an audio playback experiment on domestic cats (Felis catus), Two experimental arenas (open and close) and five treatments (human talking, dog barking, cat yowling, cricket chirping as positive control, and silence control) were used in the pen trial, and two treatments were used in the field trial (human talking and cricket chirping).
