There are 3 spreadsheets: ‘Life history’, ‘Egg size’, and ‘Offspring’. For all spreadsheets: 1. treatment 1 = limited mating opportunity (Exp. 1a) 2. treatment 2 = unlimited mating opportunity (Exp. 1a) 3. treatment 3 = delayed mating (Exp. 1b) 4. treatment 4 = unmated (Exp. 1a) 5. treatment 5 = Exp. 2 a. 5a = 1st mating b. 5b = 2nd mating c. 5c = 3rd mating
The spreadsheet ‘Life history’ contains data on the life history parameters of both experiments: • no. = sample ID • sex: f = female, m = male • dev = immature developmental time in days • pre = pre-ovipositional period in days • ovi = ovipositional period in days • post = post-ovipositional period in days • lifespan = lifespan in days • fec = total number of eggs laid
The spreadsheet ‘Egg size’ contains measurements of eggs:
• no. = sample ID
• length = length of eggs in micrometre
• width = maximum breath of eggs in micrometre
•
• volume = volume of eggs in micrometre3
The spreadsheet ‘Offspring’ contains counts of offspring: • matured = number of offspring reached adulthood • dead = number of offspring dead before reaching adulthood • female = number of female offspring • male = number of male offspring
