Human footprint layer

Human footprint layer (a measure of human pressure on the environment) for New Zealand, for two time periods: 2012 and 2018. See Burge et al 2025 for further details. The 'as published' version is consistent with the global methodology (no plantation forestry) - this is v4 (but if you are using NZ mainland only, use v4A, which is cropped to mainland NZ and uses epsg 2193, and the same extent as the NZ environmental data stack as per McCarthy et al 2021 https://dx.doi.org/10.20417/nzjecol.45.31 These cropped layers are called "humanPressure2012_cropped.tif" and "humanPressure20128_cropped.tif").

If you prefer to include plantation forestry as a pressure, use v3.
