Metadata for 'Waitutu Landcare Projects - Fertiliser Experiment FOREST 2004_quadratsaplings.csv'

Sapling data from a Forest Fertilization Experiment measured in 2004 at Waitutu forest. Measures follow 
standard procedures described in Hurst and Allen (2007, page 33). The primary data is also available 
from the NVS databank as:  

"Waitutu Landcare Projects - Fertiliser Experiment FOREST 2004-2005 Quadrat sapling" (dataset collected 
and owned by Landcare Research)

Column header abbreviations and data codes are as follows:

'terrace': field that identifies plots established on 'alluvial' terraces.  

'plot': code identifier for each plot.  

'subplot': code identifier for each of 16 sapling subplots (25 m^2 each) within a plot (see Fig. 1 in Hurst and Allen 2007). 

'species': species code; codes for modeled species are listed in Table B1 of Appendix B (Forsyth et al. 2015). 

'count': seedling count within each subplot. 

'note': field observations.
